Biographical Information[edit]
Harry Koons was the third baseman for the 1884 Altoona Mountain City and also played one game for the Chicago/Pittsburgh team in the 1884 Union Association.
He continued to play professional ball at least through 1892.
After his baseball career, Koons worked as a printer in his home town of Philadelphia, PA. He later moved across the Delaware River to Camden, NJ, where he died in 1932 when he was hit by a bus. He was buried in the Fernwood Cemetery of Fernwood, PA.
