Biographical information[edit]

Harold Garcia reached AA in 2010.

Garcia signed with the Philadelphia Phillies in September 2004. He hit .226/.269/.339 in his pro debut with the 2005 VSL Phillies. In 2006, he batted .273/.339/.424 with the same club. In a third season in the VSL in 2007, Harold hit .296/.337/.403 with 25 errors in 49 games and 35 runs scored.

Coming stateside in 2008, Garcia put up a .299/.402/.511 line in 50 games for the GCL Phillies with 17 steals in 19 tries. He also was 0 for 2 for the Clearwater Threshers. In 2009, the Maracaibo native put up a .291/.350/.414 line for the Lakewood BlueClaws with 42 steals in 54 tries. The second baseman finished third in the South Atlantic League in steals behind teammate Anthony Gose and Scott Robinson.

Garcia began 2010 with the Threshers and hit .335/.397/.492 in 46 games with 17 steals in 23 tries. On July 4, he extended a hitting streak to 37 games, breaking Joe Altobelli's 59-year-old Florida State League record. He went hitless the next day then got called up to the AA Reading Phillies. In total, he hit .305 with 29 stolen bases in 101 games.

Garcia became a coach with the Clearwater Threshers in 2019.
