Biographical Information[edit]

Hal Kurtz pitched in 28 games for the Cleveland Indians in 1968, in the heart of the second dead-ball era. The Indians went 86-75 on the year and had a team ERA of 2.66 which tied for best in the American League.

He played for the Selma Cloverleafs in 1962 and the Dubuque Packers in 1963 and 1964.

The Great Book of Cleveland Sports Lists says he was a middle reliever "in the mold of Cliff Bartosh".
