Biographical Information[edit]

Cliff Bartosh appeared in 53 major league games in 2004 and 2005. In the minors, during an eight-year career spent mostly in the San Diego Padres organization (1998-2003), he had 52 saves. In 2004, he bounced up and down between Cleveland and Buffalo. In 2005, the Cubs acquired him around the end of spring training, seeing him as a possible last man for the pitching squad. Both his major league teams finished a tad under .500. A single in his lone big league at bat with the Cubs ensured his batting average is 1.000 in the record books.
