Biographical Information[edit]
Hal Dixon pitched for the South Boston Wrappers and Salem-Roanoke Friends in 1939.
Dixon began his umpiring career in the Evangeline League in 1948. From there he moved to the Tri-State League (1949-1951) and American Association (August, 1951- 1952). He umpired the National League from 1953 to 1959. He retird because of a dispute over salary.
