Gordon Maguire was the father of Jack Maguire, who was an outfielder for a total of 94 major league games. Gordon was a part-time scout with the St. Louis Cardinals from 1937 and full-time scout with the Giants from 1944.[1] He discovered and/or signed players such as Bobby Hofman, Bill Jennings, Jack Maguire and Don Mueller.
