Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher/outfielder George Hunter was the twin brother of outfielder Bill Hunter.
George played both pitcher and outfield in 1909, appearing in 16 games (113 1/3 innings) as a pitcher with a 2.46 ERA. As an outfielder he was in 23 games and for the season he hit .228 on a team that hit .229. The following year his only appearance was in the outfield, and he had no at-bats.
His brother Bill played outfield in 1912 for the Cleveland Naps as a teammate of Joe Jackson.
