Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Gary Krupsky played in the New York/San Francisco Giants farm system from 1957 to 1960.

He began his career as an 18-year-old in 1957, hitting .233/.324/.281 with 38 hits in 51 games for the Hastings Giants. With the Artesia Giants in 1958, he hit .311 with 142 hits, 26 doubles, 11 triples and 23 home runs in 120 games, to lead the Sophomore League in total bases with 259. He also tied for the league lead in games played and tied Bolivar Hinojosa for 4th in home runs. In 1959, Krupsky played for the Fresno Giants (96 G, 14 HR, 60 RBI, .250/.333/.412) and Eugene Emeralds (33 G, 2 HR, 12 RBI, .269/.365/.417), hitting a combined .254/.340/.413 with 16 home runs and 72 RBI in 129 games. He wrapped up his career in 1960, hitting a combined .282 with seven home runs in 104 games split between Fresno (86 G, 6 HR, .276 BA) and Eugene (18 G, 1 HR, .309 BA).

Overall, Krupsky hit .276 with 404 hits and 47 home runs in 404 games spread over four seasons.

He coached Queens College from 1978-1983, winning SUNYAC Coach of the Year one year. He also worked for the NY Police Department.
