Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Bolivar Hinojosa played in the minor leagues from 1957 to 1961. He played in the Kansas City Athletics from 1957 to 1960, coming into his own in 1958. With the Plainview A's that year, he hit .318/.387/.547 with 23 home runs, 103 RBI and 82 runs scored in 105 games. In 1959, between two clubs, he hit .311/.371/.465 with 12 home runs and 101 RBI in 118 games. He played for the Sanford Greyhounds in 1960, hitting .301/.386/.445 with 9 home runs, 109 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 137 games. He wrapped up his career in the Baltimore Orioles system in 1961, hitting .298/.374/.435 in 75 games. Overall, Hinojosa hit .295/.372/.452 with 51 home runs, 409 RBI and 50 stolen bases in 526 games over 5 seasons.
