Gary Espadas pitched in the minors leagues and the CPBL.

Espadas was 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA for the Mexican national team in the 2002 Intercontinental Cup, though he struck out 8 in 5 innings. He lost to Taiwan's Yueh-Ping Lin and Brazil's Douglas Assada. He started his professional with the Leones de Yucatan, and he had a 2.78 ERA in 16 games in 2003. He then signed with the Chinatrust Whales, but he only pitched 1 1/3 innings with 4 runs allowed for them in 2004. Eapadas returned to Yucatán and had a 3.56 ERA in 38 games in 2005, but his ERA rose to 5.08 in 29 games in 2006. He struggled again as he had a 8.31 ERA in 11 games in 2007, and he also pitched 11 games with a 9.43 ERA for the Potros de Tijuana. Espadas went 0-2 with a 5.22 ERA in 25 games in 2008 for the Piratas de Campeche, then his professional career ended.

Between the two countries, he was 5-7 with two saves and a 5.13 ERA in 131 games.
