Gary Adams
Biographical Information[edit]
Gary Adams attended UCLA and played second base on the school's baseball team. As a senior in 1962, he hit .265 and was team captain. He was head baseball coach at the University of California, Irvine from 1970 to 1974 and won the Division II College World Series in 1973 and 1974. He then returned to UCLA as head coach for 30 seasons, starting in 1975. During that span, his teams posted a 984-823-7 record and reached the 1997 College World Series.
Adams was inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in January 2005 and the UCLA Hall of Fame in 2011 [1].
