Biographical Information[edit]
Garrett Stubbs was traded from the Houston Astros to the Philadelphia Phillies for minor league outfielder Logan Cerny on November 19, 2021.
He played for the Israeli national team at the 2023 World Baseball Classic. In the team,s opening game against Nicaragua on March 12th, he hit a bases-loaded double in the 8th right after Spencer Horwitz had driven in Israel's first run with a single, tying the score at 1. The ball bounced over the fence for an automatic double, otherwise, it would have cleared the bases, but the two runs were enough to give Israel a 3-1 win. He was injured after Israel's second game and was replaced on the squad by his younger brother, C.J. Stubbs, who is also a catcher.
