Fred Herndon
Fred Herndon was a local college umpire in Minnesota who got to work the first three innings of a major league game between the Minnesota Twins and Toronto Blue Jays on June 14, 1993 at the Metrodome. He worked alongside regular umpires Jim Evans and Ted Hendry as Larry McCoy and Terry Craft weer delayed by flight problems and did not make it to the ballpark until the game was already under way.
