Biographical Information

Fred Haddix was the brother of Harvey Haddix and Ben Haddix. A southpaw like Harvey, Fred was 11-7 in 1950 for the Marion Red Sox with a 5.13 ERA. He did not play again in Organized Baseball until 1957 (serving from 1954-1956 in the US Army) when he had a 4-3, 3.67 record for the Corning Red Sox and 1-0 for the Greensboro Patriots. He worked for 35 years at Ohio Edison.
