Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Watt pitched only one season in the majors, but he was a busy fellow that year, appearing in 38 games and hurling 122 2/3 innings. He had a record of 5-5 for a team that went 66-88.
He was two years older than teammate Chuck Klein.
Watt's brother Allie Watt had played one game in the majors in 1920, going 1-for-1.
In 1926 Frank won 28 games split between two teams in the minors.
In an article about Mel Ott in the February 1959 issue of Baseball Digest, Ott claimed that he had tremendous luck against Frank Watt, hitting a homer in every at-bat against him in Watt's season.
