Biographical Information[edit]

Frank Griffith was at Northwestern University in 1892-93, and played in the majors in 1892 and 1894. He was the first major leaguer to come from Northwestern.

He was not an effective pitcher, but as a hitter he slugged .560.

He was a 19-year-old rookie in 1892, when he was managed by Cap Anson. In 1894, when he had most of his appearances, his manager was Patsy Tebeau.
