Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Galloway pitched for Team USA when they won a Bronze Medal in the 1979 Pan American Games; while teammates Craig Lefferts and Tim Leary went on to productive MLB careers, Galloway's stint in the pro ranks was short. The Milwaukee Brewers took him in the 24th round of the 1979 amateur draft. He was 3-2 with a save and a 3.19 ERA for the Butte Copper Kings, with 52 strikeouts to 12 walks in 48 innings. Had he qualified (he was 8 IP shy), he would have been 9th in the Pioneer League in ERA. Despite that fine performance, that was it for him in the minors.
