Infielder Frank Bowa was the brother of Paul Bowa and uncle of Larry Bowa. He played minor league ball from 1944-1949. He hit .316 in 395 at-bats with the Spartanburg Peaches in 1948 and .338 in 340 at-bats with the Lima Red Birds in 1944.
