Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Bishop played four games for the 1884 Chicago/Pittsburgh team in the Union Association. He was mostly used at third base, a position at which the team variously used Charlie Householder, Will Foley, Joe Battin and others. Frank made five errors during his four games, which led to a fielding average lower than the team's overall .882 fielding average. His .188 batting average was lower than the team's .231.
Frank was 27 years old at the time, and went on to play several seasons in the minors after that, mostly at third base.
