Biographical Information

Fernando Cancelare debuted for the Argentinian national team in the 2022 South American Championship. Getting the start against Bolivia, he went 1-2-3 in the first, striking out Cristian Soliz, getting Franklin Montero on a grounder and K'ing Alexi Legrá. Humberto Salas doubled to open the second, but he allowed only one more hit and no walks over the next three innings, adding two more strikeouts. Federico Robles closed out the 5-inning mercy rule win, as Cancelare beat Ronald Quiroga.
