Biographical Information[edit]

Felix Carrasco played in the minor leagues and in Japan.

Carrasco hit .273/.347/.424 with 37 RBI in 46 games for the 2006 AZL Padres, but fielded only .792 at third base (23 errors). He tied for 7th in the Arizona League in doubles (12) and was sixth in RBI. Baseball America named him the #20 prospect in the AZL. In 2007, his defensive woes continued (.817 FLD%) and his offense was down with the AZL Padres (.288/.393/.327 in 15 G) and Eugene Emeralds (.184/.245/.245 in 13 G).

Moving to first base with the 2008 Fort Wayne Wizards, he produced at a .237/.339/.402 clip with 16 homers, 64 RBI and 162 whiffs. He tied David Lough for 10th in the Midwest League in dingers, was 8th in walks (59) but led in strikeouts (six ahead of Brandon Waring). He easily led San Diego Padres farmhands in strikeouts (35 ahead of Andy Parrino) and tied Seth Johnston for 5th in home runs. He tied Michael Burgess for 8th in the minors in Ks. He hit .252/.344/.394 with only 9 homers for the 2010 Lake Elsinore Storm in the offense-happy California League. He was 10th in the league with 132 strikeouts. He was two whiffs behind Matt Clark for the lead among Padres farmhands.

Felix signed with the Chunichi Dragons for 2011 but played poorly in the minors (8 for 55, 8 BB, 2B, 25 K) and in his brief time for Chunichi in Nippon Pro Baseball (0 for 4, 4 K). He was 1 for 14 with two walks and a run in the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, playing the most of any right fielder for the Dominican national team. In the Bronze Medal game win, though, he was not used, the team opting to use Rafael Fernandez instead.
