Fábio Murakami played three minor league seasons.
Murakami was the All-Star CF in the 2004 South American Championship, helping the Brazilian national team to the Silver Medal. He was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies at age 17. He made his pro debut with the 2006 VSL Phillies and hit .249/.337/.300 as a regular outfielder. He was 2 for 8 for Brazil in the COPABE qualifiers for the 2008 Olympics, splitting action in left field. With the same club in 2007, he batted .276/.337/.366. He hit .287/.337/.372 in 29 games for the 2008 GCL Phillies. That was his last season in the minors.
Murakami helped Brazil to more Silver Medals, in the 2013 South American Championship, 2015 South American Championship and 2018 South American Championship. In 2018, he was on Brazil's roster but did not get into a game.
