Evaristo Martínez was a catcher for the Colombian national team in the 1970 Amateur World Series. He then won Bronze with them in the 1971 Pan American Games and Gold in the 1973 Bolivarian Games; it would be 44 years until they next took Gold in the Bolivarian Games.
