Biographical Information[edit]
Eugenio Valdéz pitched for the Dominican national team in the 1992 Olympics. He worked three games to tie Felix Nova and Roberto Casey for the team lead; he totaled 3 1/3 IP and allowed 6 hits, 3 walks, 2 hit batsmen and 3 runs (2 earned) while striking out one. His 5.40 ERA was better than the team's 7.76 mark.
He was 3-1 with a 1.84 ERA for the 1993 DSL Athletics. In 1994, he pitched for the AZL Athletics, going 2-3 with 5 saves and a 2.28 ERA in 19 games. He tied Luis Colmenares for 6th in the Arizona League in saves. That was the end of his career.
