Etzel Brown pitched for the Nicaraguan national team in the 1947 Amateur World Series (when they won Bronze), 1948 Amateur World Series (beating El Salvador, 1950 Amateur World Series (losing to Venezuela and beating Costa Rica) and 1950 Central American and Caribbean Games (Bronze; he beat host Guatemala).
