Biographical Information

Pitcher Ethan Clark was selected in the 15th round of the 2015 amateur draft by the Tampa Bay Rays. He spent his first two seasons in professional ball with the Princeton Rays of the Appalachian League. In 2015, he was 1-5, 6.84 in 9 games, but in 2016 he improved significantly, to 7-2, 2.91 in 12 games. In 2017, he was assigned to the Bowling Green Hot Rods of the Midwest League to start the year and was 3-2, 3.11 after 12 games when on June 26th, he was traded to the Miami Marlins. Joining him in the trade was AA OF Braxton Lee, while the Rays received veteran major league shortstop Adeiny Hechevarria.
