Ernesto Chamorro was an outfielder for the Nicaraguan national team in the 1944 Amateur World Series, 1948 Amateur World Series (hitting .435/.500/.609 to finish 5th in average, between Bell Arias and Miguel Corral), 1950 Central American and Caribbean Games and 1953 Amateur World Series (winning Bronze).
