Biographical Information[edit]
Eric Madsen has been a college coach.
Madsen was assistant coach at the College of Eastern Utah (1994-1996) then became head coach from 1996-2003, going 146-160. He coached Willie Eyre there. He also was a coach for the Zion Pioneerzz. From 2004-2008, he was assistant coach at Utah Valley University. He became head coach in 2009, going 94-76 in 2009-2011 and winning two Great West Conference Coach of the Year awards. He set a school record with 42 wins in 2010. He won over 300 games before stepping down after 2021 (and taking a third GWC Coach of the Year).
Madsen's borther, Scott Madsen, succeeded him as coach at Eastern Utah.
