Biographical Information

Eric Hollis has played and coached in the minors.

Undrafted out of college, Hollis signed with the Chicago White Sox. He hit .265/.372/.324 for the 2005 Great Falls White Sox, serving as the #2 catcher. In 2006, he saw very little action with the Kannapolis Intimidators (8 for 32, 2B, 2 BB) and Birmingham Barons (3 for 16, 2 BB). He went 4 for 13 with a double and a walk for the 2007 Barons, then hit .213/.237/.223 in 32 games as one Birmingham's backup backstops (behind Cole Armstrong) in 2008.
