He was signed as an undrafted free agent by Los Angeles and had immediate success. In 18 appearances his first pro season, split between two clubs, he posted a 0.83 ERA and had 31 Ks in 21 2/3 innings. Following that with a 3.63 ERA, 26 saves and 77 strikeouts in 67 innings in 2012, he earned a spot in the exclusive Arizona Fall League, with whom he had a 5.11 mark in 12 games for the Mesa Solar Sox. His ERA skyrocketed to 6.44 in 49 games in 2013, though he still struck out 75 in 57 1/3 innings. His mark fell to 3.38 in a truncated campaign of 8 appearances for the Chattanooga Lookouts in 2014. He made a single appearance for the AZL Dodgers in 2015 to wrap up his tenure in the Dodgers system. He split 2016 between two indy clubs, the Gary SouthShore RailCats and Winnipeg Goldeyes, going 4-5 with a 3.06 ERA in 43 games between them; in 47 innings, he allowed just 24 hits and had 66 Ks.
Between the minors and indy ball, he went 17-14 with 257 strikeouts in 202 innings.
