Biographical Information

Epy Guerrero, Jr. played nineteen seasons in the minor leagues in the United States, Mexico, and Taiwan. His best seasons were in Taiwan, where he played from 1993 to 1998. He is the son of Epy Guerrero. His brother, Mike Guerrero, has managed in the Milwaukee Brewers organization.

In Taiwan, the shortstop won four gold glove awards. He won five silver slugger awards. His best seasons in Taiwan were 1996 and 1997 when he hit .360 and .361 respectively.

Guerrero's career totals from 1984 to 2002, show a .300 average with 1957 hits, 380 doubles, and 111 homers. He also stole 164 bases. He never played in the major leagues. He helped the Dominican national team win Bronze in the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games.

Sandy Guerrero was a coach for the Huntsville Stars from 2003 to 2008. He then coached the Nashville Sounds in 2009-2011. Guerrero spent 2012-2013 as the Milwaukee Brewers Minor League Hitting Coordinator then returned to Huntsville in 2014. He moved with the team as a coach for the Biloxi Shuckers in 2015-2017 then to the Carolina Mudcats in 2018.
