Biographical Information

Henry Garcia pitched in the minors and for Mexico national baseball team.

He made his pro debut with the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings, going 1-3 with a 3.02 ERA in 11 games (5 starts) in 2012. Signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks, he was a solid 7-2 with a 2.25 ERA in 30 games for the 2013 South Bend Silver Hawks with 63 K to 10 BB in 60 IP. Sent to the Arizona Fall League, he was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA for the Salt River Rafters.

In 2014, he was 5-3 with a 5.23 ERA in 40 contests for the Visalia Rawhide. He returned to the indies in 2015, posting a 6-6, 3.65 record for the Laredo Lemurs. Garcia represented Mexico in the 2015 Premier 12 (the team had to rely heavily on Mexican-Americans due to a dispute between Mexico's baseball federation and the Mexican League), and he started against Japan. However, he only pitched 2 1/3 innings with a strikeout, and he allowed 4 runs which included a homer to Sho Nakata. Garcia then started again versus Dominican Republic, and he surrendered 4 runs in 3 1/3 innings. He pitched 1/3 of a shutout inning against the USA. Mexico lost to Japan in the Bronze Medal Game of the event.

The Texan hurler split 2016 between Laredo (1-0, 4.05 in 1 G) and the Pericos de Puebla (2-1, 1.93 in 3 G). One presumes he was injured due to his limited appearances. In 2017, he pitched for Puebla and the Acereros de Monclova, going a combined 7-7 with a 5.48 ERA between the two Mexican League squads. That apparently ended his career.
