Biographical Information[edit]
Ellis Hardy managed the San Antonio Bronchos of the South Texas League in 1904, and the Waco Navigators of the Texas League from 1911 to 1918, posting an overall 594-440 mark. Under his leadership, the club won championships in 1914, 1915, and 1916.
Hardy was the second manager for the San Antonio Mustangs in the 1904 South Texas League. He replaced Wade Moore and then was replaced by Charles Blackburn.
Hardy previously was baseball coach at Texas Christian University. He is a member of the Texas League Hall of Fame.
