He debuted with the 2012 Tigres de Quintana Roo, going 1-for-5 while backing up Kevin Flores at short. He saw increased action (109 PA over 54 G) as a utility man with the 2013 Leones de Yucatán. He played almost every day for the team in 2014, bouncing between three infield spots and three outfield spots, hitting .237/.306/.307 with 5 triples. He tied for 8th in the Mexican League in three-baggers. With the Charros de Jalisco that winter, he hit .316/.400/.421 in 46 plate appearances.

García hit .210/.313/.298 in reduced action in the summer of 2015, but played regularly in winter ball and batted .291/.339/.389 with 5 triples despite again not having a regular position. He tied Amadeo Zazueta for second in the Mexican Pacific League in triples, 3 behind Welington Dotel. Moving to the Toros de Tijuana in 2016, he hit .239/.317/.376 as a bench player. His playing time and production both fell in the winter for Jalisco (.133/.191/.145 in 90 PA). In 2017, he played for both Tijuana (0 for 1) and the Rieleros de Aguascalientes (.264/.335/.409 in 82 G), becoming the starter at second base for the latter team, finally winning a set position. In the winter, he did a fine job for the Charros at .286/.377/.382; he also played error-free defense in right and had five assists there.

The Mexican League went to a two-season format in 2018. In the spring season, he produced at a .253/.332/.323 clip while remaining the main second sacker for the Rieleros but he slipped to .180/.253/.231 in the fall. In the winter, he played for the Venados de Mazatlán and batted .273/.319/.340. He led the LMP in triples with four. In the summer of '19, he hit .280/.369/.456 with 12 homers, 52 walks, 72 runs and 72 RBI for Aguascalientes, playing mostly right and third rather than second. He hit .268/.348/.390 in the winter, with 30 runs in 57 games, playing mostly short and right for the Venados. He was 4th in triples (3). He then was 2-for-11 with a double, run and RBI in the 2020 Caribbean Series.

The COVID-19 pandemic caused the cancellation of the 2020 LMB season. Returning to action that winter, he hit .218/.301/.301 for Mazatlán. In 2021, he saw limited action and performed poorly for the Toros de Tijuana (.146/.170/.169); he continued to highlight his versatility, playing every position except for catcher and pitcher. He hit .244/.314/.286 in the winter. Still only 29 years old, he returned to Aguascalientes; playing short more than anything else and seeing regular action, he hit .303/.380/.449, h is best performance in three years. For the 2022-23 Charros, he eked out a .226/.321/.301 line.

The Puebla native switched clubs again for 2023, batting .269/.323/.363 in a utility role for the Acereros de Monclova. He also represented Mexico in two international tournaments that year. In the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he pinch-ran for Rainel Rosario and scored a run against Cuba. He started at first base against host El Salvador and singled off Wilfredo Ramirez his first at-bat as part of a 2-for-4 day. His only other appearance came against the Dominican national team, pinch-hitting for Alexis Wilson and drawing a walk from Hansel Paulino for a .600 OBP on the tourney. He helped Mexico win Gold, their first Gold in an international tournament, 97 years after taking a Silver in their first tournament, the 1926 Central American Games. [1] He was 0-for-3 with a walk, run and a RBI when Mexico won Bronze in the 2023 Pan American Games; he mostly backed up Norberto Obeso in left. [2]
