Biographical Information[edit]

Edrick Félix has played in the minors and for the Puerto Rican national team.

He spent his freshman year at the College of Central Florida. As a sophomore at Florida Gulf Coast, he hit .366/.449/.774 with 25 homers, 68 runs and 83 RBI in 60 games. He led the Atlantic Sun Conference in home runs and RBI and was named All-Conference. [1] The Chicago White Sox took him in the 14th round of the 2023 amateur draft, and signed him for a $150,000 bonus. The scout was Abe Fernandez. [2]

Félix split his first pro summer between the ACL White Sox (9 for 22, 2B, 2 HR, 3 BB) and Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (.227/.292/.364 in 12 G). With the Gigantes de Carolina in his native Puerto Rican League, he batted .231/.339/.259. He split 2024 again between the ACL White Sox (.250/.381/.444 in 46 G) and Kannapolis (.141/.287/.155 in 22 G). With Puerto Rico for the 2024 U23 Baseball World Cup, he hit .231/.355/.462 as their starter at third. [3] Remaining with them for the 2024 Premier 12, he backed up Sabin Ceballos at the hot corner. His first time up, he pinch-hit for John Montes and was retired by Luis Ángel Rodriguez. He finished the event 1-for-6 with a RBI; his hit came off Ryan Huntington of the Netherlands. [4]
