Biographical Information[edit]
Edgar Correa pitched in the minors and played for Mexico national baseball team.
Correa was 4-2 with a 4.13 ERA for the Ruidoso Osos in 2011, but he allowed 5 runs in 1/3 of an inning with the Trinidad Triggers in 2012. He represented Mexico in the 2015 Premier 12 (when they had to rely on Mexican-Americans due to a conflict between the Mexican League and Mexico's baseball federation), and he retired Shingo Kawabata of Japan national team in the 6th inning of the Bronze Medal Game (he relieved Alex Caldera with a 11-1 deficit and was succeeded by Esau Madrigal). Kawabata was the only batter he faced in the entire event, and Mexico lost the Bronze but it was still a strong finish given the issues with their federation. [1] Correa joined the Saraperos de Saltillo in 2016, but he allowed 8 runs in 5 innings.
