Biographical Information[edit]
Edgar Bruzual played one year in the minors. In the 2005 Venezuelan Summer League, he hit .192/.250/.277. He batted .391/.462/.522 for the host Venezuelans in the 2008 Americas Baseball Cup for the team's second-best OPS; it helped them win a spot in the 2009 Baseball World Cup. He helped Venezuela take Gold at the 2010 South American Games. He hit .286/.318/.286 with 2 runs and 3 RBI in the 2013 Bolivarian Games, stealing 2 bases in 3 tries and handling 23 chances without an error as Venezuela's starting second baseman; they won the Silver Medal.
In the 2017 Bolivarian Games, he batted .267/.389/.400 with 3 runs in 5 games, fielding .909. Taking over for Rusbel Fariñez in the 5-1 Bronze Medal game win over El Salvador, he was 1 for 2.
