Ed McKenna
Edward J. McKenna
- Bats Unknown, Throws Unknown
Biographical Information[edit]
Ed McKenna has long been listed in baseball records as having played for three different teams: one game as a first baseman for the Philadelphia Whites of the National Association in [[1874 Whites|1874];, as an outfielder for the St. Louis Brown Stockings in 1877, also for one game; and 32 games as catcher, outfielder and third baseman for the Washington Nationals in 1884. However, later research by SABR has shown that these belong to three different players with the same last name. The Philadelphia player was Frank McKenna and the St. Louis one Patrick McKenna, while Edward only showed up in Washington. Not much else is known about these three men, however.
