Ed McCann
Biographical Information[edit]
Ed McCann was a college coach.
McCann was coach of Mannford High School from 1979-1986, winning Coach of the Year for Oklahoma in 1985. He was assistant coach at San Francisco State University (1987-1991), Cal Poly (1992-1995) and Ohlone College (1995-1996). He was head coach of Centenary College of Louisiana from 1999-2010 and was named Mid-Continent Conference Coach of the Year in 2005. In 2011, he coached Alabama A&M University, but he stepped down after one year due to health reasons; he was replaced by 24-year-old assistant Michael Tompkins.
