Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Dustin Martin began his professional career in 2006.

He was taken by the New York Mets in the 26th round of the 2006 amateur draft and began his professional career strong, hitting .315/.399/.454 with 79 hits in 72 games for the Brooklyn Cyclones. He earned a spot on the New York-Penn League Mid-Season All-Star squad that year. In 2007, he hit .290/.361/.426 in 127 games between the GCL Mets, St. Lucie Mets and Fort Myers Miracle of the Twins organization - to which he'd been traded on July 30 with catcher Drew Butera for second baseman Luis Castillo.

He was a Florida State League Mid-Season All-Star that year. He tapered off while in the Twins system, where he remained through 2011. He returned to the Mets system for 2012 and in 2013, played for the independent Sugar Land Skeeters and the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. He played 85 games in the Diamondbacks system in 2014 and spent a handful with Sugar Land. In 2015, he began the year with Sugar Land. He played in the Mexican League in 2016 and 2017, hitting .325/.420/.536 with 19 home runs, 88 RBI and 32 steals the former year and .258/.389/.449 with 16 homers, 74 RBI and 24 steals the latter.
