Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Dustin Geiger played in the Chicago Cubs minor league system from 2010 to 2015. He was drafted by the club in the 24th round of the 2010 amateur draft.

After a couple ho-hum seasons to begin his professional career, Geiger hammered 17 home runs for the Peoria Chiefs in 2012, to go along with a .251/.301/.465 line. The next year, he hit .281/.366/.459 with 17 home runs and 86 RBI in 123 games for the Daytona Cubs, earning a spot on the MiLB.com Organization All-Star team.

He spent most of 2015 and all of 2016 in independent ball, then joined the Miami Marlins system for 2017. He played in the Mexican League in 2018 and 2019.
