Biographical Information[edit]

Duke Solaita pitched for the American Samoa national team in the 1999 Oceania Championship. He set the Spring Arbor University record for runs in a season. In the 2003 South Pacific Games, he struck out six batters in three innings with a 0.00 ERA and hit .250 with two homers and 9 runs for the Silver Medalists. He led the Games in dingers and tied for 2nd in runs (two behind Henry Santos III). He was an outfielder and coach for Samoa in the 2007 South Pacific Games, when they won the Bronze Medal. He is the nephew of Ben Solaita and Tony Solaita and cousin of Charles Solaita or brother of Chris Solaita and somehow related to Leopeni Solaita.
