Biographical Information[edit]

Drew Jackson made his major league debut with the Baltimore Orioles in 2019.

Drew was born in Berkeley, CA and attended high school and college in northern California. He was drafted out of Stanford University in the 5th round of the 2015 Amateur Draft. He made an immediate impression in his first minor league season, with the Everett AquaSox, hitting .358. After one more year in the Seattle Mariners organization, he was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers and was in their minor league organization in 2017 and 2018, hitting around .250 each year with moderate power.

He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2018 Rule 5 Draft, and immediately traded to the Orioles, for whom he appeared in their first two games in the 2019 season. However, after just one more game, he was returned to the Dodgers in accordance with the Rule V Draft rules and played for their AAA team the rest of the year, appearing primarily at second base, shortstop and center field.

Drew is the brother of Brett Jackson.
