Biographical Information[edit]
Drew French attended Concordia University at Austin and graduated in 2006. After graduation he spent almost a decade working with collegiate baseball teams.

In 2016 the Houston Astros hired French to coach pitchers in their player development system and he quickly climbed the minor league ladder. He was the pitching coach for the 2016 Tri-City ValleyCats, 2017 Quad Cities River Bandits, and 2018 Buies Creek Astros. French won a pair of championships as a pitching coach with the Midwest League River Bandits and then with the Carolina League Buies Creek squad. He moved up to the AAA Round Rock Express in 2019. After this season he also coach pitchers for the Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League. French was scheduled to return to the Express in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
In 2021, he was appointed bullpen coach of the Atlanta Braves where he helped the team to a 2021 World Series championship. French remained the Braves bullpen coach through the 2023 season. In 2024, he moved to the Baltimore Orioles as their pitching coach.
