Douglas Copper Kings

In an August 19th, 1958 game against the Chihuahua Dorados, all nine starters for the Douglas Copper Kings accomplished the feat of hitting a home run. This was a first in organized pro ball. The Class C Copper Kings won the contest 22-6. A photo of the team appeared under the title of "The Case of the Murdered Horsehide" in thousands of newspapers throughout the country.
