The brother of Bobby Witt and uncle of Bobby Witt Jr., Doug Witt was the Texas Rangers' bullpen catcher. He later was both an amateur and pro scout for the Toronto Blue Jays. As an amateur scout, he signed Seth McClung, Ryan Reid and Nick Wells.
