Biographical Information[edit]

First baseman Doug Cronk played in the Texas Rangers system from 1988 to 1990 after being taken by the club in the 22nd round of the 1988 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Rudy Terrasas. He is most notable for his 1989 campaign, when he hit .251/.351/.437 with 22 home runs and 77 RBI for the Gastonia Rangers. He never played above A ball, hitting .224/.323/.382 with 29 home runs and 158 RBI for his career.
