Biographical Information[edit]
Dixie Carroll hit .265 in a 15 game stint with the 1919 Boston Braves. He was far more prolific in the minor leagues, hitting roughly .303 while rapping over 2,600 hits in a career spanning 1910 to 1929. He enjoyed two seasons of 200-plus hits as a member of the Los Angeles Angels, back to back in 1921 and 1922. In his final campaign, 1929, he batted .307 in 414 at-bats for the Mobile Bears of the Southern Association.
