Biogrphical Information[edit]

The son of Jamie Moyer, infielder Dillon Moyer was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 22nd round of the 2010 amateur draft. He did not sign, opting for college instead. After two years at UC Irvine, he transferred to UC San Diego. He was then taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 38th round of the 2013 amateur draft. The scout was Jeffrey Lachman. He began his pro career with the Ogden Raptors in 2013, hitting .167 in 41 games.

In 2014, Moyer split the season between the Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of the California League. He had a combined batting line of .221/.304/.296 in 115 games, with 19 doubles. He was exclusively a shortstop that season, logging 78 games for the Loons and 37 for the Quakes. He was back at Rancho Cucamonga to start the 2015 season.

Moyer's brother, Hutton Moyer, also plays in the minors. His maternal grandfather was Notre Dame basketball coach Digger Phelps.
