Biographical Information[edit]

Diego Meneses has pitched for the Guatemalan national team.

Meneses was All-State as a high school senior in 2014. In 2015, he was 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA for Roanoke College, then was 2-0 with a save and a 5.40 ERA as a sophomore. His junior year, he was 3-2 with a save and Roanoke made it to the 2017 Division III College World Series. He then suited up for Guatemala when they won Bronze in the 2017 Central American Games. He closed out the opening win over Honduras, relieving Juan Estrada with two outs in the 7th and pitching 2 1/3 innings, with two hits allowed and three strikeouts. He also finished up a 10-8 loss to Gold Medal winner Nicaragua, replacing Hans Werner in the bottom of the 8th and allowing one hit in one shutout frame.
